CEU Course Description

The elderly population comprises one of the fastest growing segments of the overall health care population. Elderly patients rely on health care professionals for the most basic of needs and are often the most vulnerable of patients. Health care ethics were devised as a guide to care for vulnerable patients in a manner which is effective, efficient and in line with the ethical obligations of the health care professional. This course will review the most essential and universal principles of health care ethics, while highlighting their relationship to the ethical administration of health care to elderly patients.

CEU Course Objectives

  1. Identify the four most essential and universal principles of health care ethics, while obtaining an understanding of how they can be applied to the administration of health care.
  2. Explain how health care professionals can achieve and maintain their ethical obligations.
  3. Evaluate the relationship between health care ethics and the administration of health care to elderly patients.

This course expires on 07/08/2024
