CEU Course Description

Long-term care facilities provide a variety of valuable services, both medical and personal, to individuals who are unable to live independently. Without long-term care facilities, millions of individuals across the country would not be able to maintain their overall health, well-being and quality of life. For some individuals, long-term care facilities are essential to their survival. However, long-term care facilities must meet certain federal requirements to maintain residents. This CEU will review the federal regulations and requirements which must be met for a long-term care facility to effectively and legally maintain residents.

CEU Course Objectives

  1. Identify the federal regulations and requirements of long-term care facilities, while obtaining an understanding of the rights of residents being cared for by a long-term care facility.
  2. Explore the federal regulations and requirements of individuals employed by long-term care facilities.
  3. Examine how to effectively and legally administer care to residents of long-term care facilities.
